Thank you for your interest in the everyone for climate foundation. Your personal data (hereinafter: data) and the protection it requires are important to us. Accordingly, we explain in this data protection declaration how we collect and process which personal data (in short: "personal data", i.e. data relating to a specific or identifiable person). We only process the data about you that is necessary. We do this with due care, not least to protect you from unauthorised access and possible misuse.

With this data protection declaration, we would like to give you an overview of the processing of your data and the rights to which you are entitled in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR") and the Liechtenstein Data Protection Act (hereinafter referred to as "DPA").

General information on data processing

i. Scope of the processing of personal data

Our processing of personal data of our users is limited to those data that are necessary for the provision of a functional website as well as our contents and services. The processing of personal data of our users is only carried out for the purposes agreed with them or if there is another legal basis (in the sense of the GDPR). We only collect personal data that is actually required for the implementation and processing of our tasks and services or that you have provided to us voluntarily.

ii. Your rights

You have the right to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes, the categories of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, data transfer, the origin of your data if it has not been collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling.

You also have the right to revoke any consent you may have given to use your personal data at any time.

If you are of the opinion that the processing of your personal data by us is in conflict with the applicable data protection regulations, you have the possibility to complain to the data protection authority.

Data processing

i. When visiting our website

Each time our website is called up, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the calling computer. In particular, the following data is collected:

  • IP address of the user
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (concrete page)
  • Access Status/HTTP Status Code
  • Amount of data transmitted in each case
  • Website from which the request comes
  • Browser used
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of the browser software

The processing is carried out for reasons of data security in order to ensure the stability and operational security of our system. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

ii. Cookies

We use cookies on our website to make our offer user-friendly. Cookies are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your end device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. This allows us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

If you do not wish to do this, you can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies. However, we would like to point out that deactivating cookies means that you will not be able to use all the functions of our website.

The legal basis for the data processed by cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Temporary cookies remain valid for the duration of the session and are then deleted by your browser. The permanent cookies remain in your browser according to your own specifications or until they are manually deleted.

iii. Contact form

If you fill out a contact form or send us an e-mail or other electronic message, your details will only be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry or related correspondence and will only be used in the context of the enquiry.

The legal basis for processing your request is Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO.

We will delete your email address after we have dealt with your request.

iv. File downloads

We do not require you to provide any personal information in order for you to download files from our website.

v. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our websites. Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. in the USA and uses cookies. Web analysis means the collection, compilation and evaluation of data about the behaviour of visitors to websites. Among other things, a web analysis service collects data on website a data subject came to a website from, which sub-pages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a sub-page was viewed. A web analysis is mainly used to optimise a website and to analyse the costs and benefits of internet advertising

The purpose of Google Analytics is to analyse the flow of visitors to our website. Google uses the data and information obtained to, among other things, evaluate the use of our website, to compile online reports for us showing the activities on our websites and to provide other services use of our website

Google may combine your behaviour with other websites you visit. If you are a registered Google customer, Google will recognise you accordingly. Google's privacy policy then applies to the further processing of personal data. Cookies are used store personal information, such as the time of access, the location from which access originated and the frequency of visits to our website by the data subject. Each time the data subject visits our website this personal data, including the IP address of the internet connection used by the data subject, is transmitted to Google in the USA. Google may pass on this personal data collected via the technical procedure to third parties.

vi. SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

In addition, we apply further appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

 

Final provisions

i. Duration of storage of personal data

As a matter of principle, we only keep your personal data for as long as it is required for the purposes for which it was collected in accordance with this privacy policy. The personal data collected by us will generally be stored until the expiry of the statutory retention obligation and then deleted, unless we deem it necessary to store it for a longer period of time pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO due to retention and documentation obligations under tax, corporate or supervisory law (esp. from PGR or ABGB) or you have consented to storage beyond this period pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. Further processing and storage may also last longer for reasons of preserving evidence, for example for the duration of the applicable statute of limitations.

ii. Your data protection rights

You have the right to request information from us at any time and free of charge about the personal data we have stored about you, as well as about its origin, recipients or categories of recipients to whom this personal data is passed on and the purpose for which it is stored.

You also have the right to demand that we correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data at any time. You also have the right to data portability.

You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by us at any time.

If you have given us consent to use personal data, you can revoke this consent at any time without giving reasons.

If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please contact us at the address given in paragraph 1.

If there are any changes to your personal data, please inform us accordingly.

iii. Data security

We maintain up-to-date technical measures to ensure data security, in particular to protect your personal data from risks during data transmission and from third parties gaining knowledge. These are adapted to the current state of the art.

iv. Possibility of appeal

If you are of the opinion that the processing of your personal data by us violates the applicable data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in some other way, you have the possibility to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Liechtenstein, the data protection authority is responsible for this.
